We started the new year with confidence in that Book2CD provides in a need.
We are working with great pleasure at the extension of the collection and
can see
the growing interest in it.
What used to be on wall posters in shops in the olden days still goes now,
as far as we are concerned:

Some of our latest publications are:

-46082: Academia Groningana, published on occasion of the third centenary of
the University in 1914.
This book describes all developments of all fields of study at the Groninger
University
in the 19th century. It also describes the development of the university
itself.

-46101: The Petroleum Handbook, in english, contains the 1959 and 1983
editions.
This is a generously produced manual by Shell, about among others oil
production,
development of oil, marketing of oil and the research being done. This
english book
contains beautiful illustrations, diagrams and charts. A very complete book
about oil,
with a lot of background information. A must for those interested in Shell
and the oil industry in general.

-46165: Het Nederlandse Zeewezen  (1858)
This book describes the arise, existence and fall of the life at sea in that
time.
Stories about wars and that era being described as accurately as possible.
The books describes Dutch war history from the Middle ages until the 19th
Century.
Every book is divided into periods that precisely describe that times
situation.
Among others it discusses the 80 Year War, the rise against France and the
war against the english.
Each period has its own attachment, which precisely describes the status of
all sorts of troops and ships.
All in all, a very comprehensive book about dutch wars and battlefields.

-46170: Description of Dordrecht (1677) by Matthijs Balen
Written in medieval style, with all sorts of city plans. The books describes
well known names
of that time, important places and buildings. It also has a description of
all the important families
and their coats of arms.

-46173: Description of the city of Gouda (1713) by J. Walvis
Describes a "story of the citys founding, water streams, barons, justice,
important buildings,
places of worship, schools, scholars, churches and convents".

The series "Yearbooks of Noord Holland" has been complemented with the years
1910-1935.
They are divided over 6 CDs with the numbers 46109 - 46114.
Theres also a compilation CD containing the period 1906 - 1935, number is
46054.
The compilation CD of the period 1840 - 1905 can be found in the catalogue
under number 45987.

The collection of touristical guides of Apeldoorn has been published in the
period of 1877 - 1970.
We have been able to borrow these from CODA to make them available on CD.
They describe walks in Apeldoorn and its places of interest, catering
establishments and other facilities.
Abundantly illustrated they give a wonderful portrayal of the development of
village to city.
You will soon find them under the numbers 46207 - 46211 on our website.
They can already be ordered by email.

Already for order on the website is number 46168: two guides about Loenen
1929 and 1939,
a guide about Ugchelen from 1934 and the guide for Gelderland from 1952 are
included.

Next months offer is "Bekende Landgenooten" (order number 45852).
A dutch "who is who". It gives short biographies of about 500 well known
dutchmen (and women),
starting with Gerrit vd AA, through Aletta Jacobs and Anton Philips to Jacob
Zijp.
The book was published in 1920 in Amsterdam.
