Firstly I would like to announce our cooperation with the Regional
Archive of the city of Alkmaar.
In accordance with the celebrations of the 750 years existence of
the city of Alkmaar Book2 CD will make a complete scan and publish "Alkmaar
en zijne geschiedenissen" ("Alkmaar and its histories").
Earlier this year we already published the "Alkmaarsche Almanak"
(1912) on CD. The original of this yearbook was not present in the Alkmaar
Archive. Book2CD owned it and glady presented it to the Archive.
The collection can be viewed on the internet at this adress:

Book2CD will attend the National Archives day on oktober 30 in the
Rijksarchief Noord Holland in Haarlem and the Historymarket at CODA in
Apeldoorn. You will be able to view various CDs on several computers. At
the same time you will be able to discuss your wishes and suggestions with
the collections creators. You are hereby cordially invited!

Hereby we would also like to inform you about the genealogical
consulting hour at CODA in Apeldoorn. You can visit them every first
thursday of the month between 14.00 and 15.00 hours in the Knowledge Centre
"De Verdieping". Experts are available to help you research your family
history. The consulting hours are free of charge.

If you want to gather more knowledge, there is also the possibility
to take a course of 5 thursday evenings at CODAs Genealogy and Family tree
research. The course starts november 4. Besides that there is also a
workshop "Internet and historical research" on november 22. I would also like to
remind you of the courses I mentioned in our earlier Newsletter.

Do you know the magazine "Computergeneaal"? This is the magazine
about Genealogy and the internet. It is published six times a year and costs

These books describe the "Hedendaagsche Historie" around the year
1740. Its unique to have a complete series with complete books together in
one Archive. We are very pleased with our cooperation with  that archive:
het Rijksarchief Noord Holland in Haarlem.

With the cooperation of private collectors we have been able to
create a CD about 4 books of Silverware.

Two books by Pierre Germain with illustrations only: "Elements D
Orfévrerie".
The third book contains drawings  and models by Adam van Vianen,
which also includes a self portrait.
The fourth book describes Gold- and Silverware in the Dutch Museum
for History and Art in Amsterdam and is also heavily illustrated.

There are several new books about music and sheet music for several

This months offer is the "Staatsalmanak voor het Koninkrijk der
Nederlanden 1895" This is the official Vademecum about everything to do with
public government from kingdom to council in the Netherlands. All civil
servants are being named in this book, together with their capacities. Next
to that it contains an overview of all government institutions, varying from
Nobility to religious communities.
